A manufacturing company in Canada (name withheld).
The problem
Off-the-shelf ERP forced the factory to work the way the software thinks.
The company ran an off-the-shelf ERP that forced the factory to work the way the software thinks. Real processes didn’t fit its screens, so staff worked around it with spreadsheets and phone notes. Sales calls weren’t linked to orders, so context was lost between the person who took the call and the person who built the product.
What we built
An ERP modelled on the plant’s real processes, with integrated VoIP that links each call to the order being discussed.
Lead capture: enquiries come in and are routed into the ERP automatically.
Integrated VoIP calling: every call is linked to the order being discussed.
Orders and task allocation: product orders created and tasks assigned automatically.
Production tracking, inventory, quoting and invoicing in the same system.
Mobile app for staff on the move.
How we delivered it
A team of five built it module by module over 180 working days, so each department moved over once its part was ready. The system connects four departments on one platform.
