BIAS — Smart Hostel Outing Management
A purpose-built app that brought structure, safety, and transparency to hostel outing management.
At Birla Institute of Applied Sciences, managing hostel student outings was a manual, error-prone process. Students filled paper registers, wardens tracked entries by hand, and parents had no visibility into whether their child had left or returned to campus. During emergencies, there was no quick way to know which students were off-campus. The existing system couldn't scale and left gaps in accountability.
We mapped the complete outing lifecycle — request, approval, check-out, check-in, and reporting. The system was designed to keep all stakeholders (students, wardens, faculty, parents, and management) informed in real time. We integrated ClassPLX's proven architecture to accelerate development and ensure reliability.
A custom mobile and web application where students can request outings digitally, wardens approve or reject with one tap, and the system automatically logs check-out and check-in times. Parents receive real-time notifications when their child leaves or returns. Management gets a dashboard with analytics — who's on campus, who's out, outing patterns, and compliance reports. Built on ClassPLX's core infrastructure for rapid deployment.
